From the Boat to the Battle,
and Finding Purpose
Along the Way
The Boat
My story began on the water at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I competed as a Division I rower and learned the power of discipline, resilience, and believing in something bigger than myself. As an athlete, I discovered that growth happens through challenge — that the moments that test us are often the ones that shape us the most.
The Battle
Only two years after graduation, my health took a turn. I had to shift focus from competing and chasing goals to fighting for my health and my future. While undergoing treatment, I was faced with difficult decisions that extended far beyond my diagnosis.
The Shift
The diagnosis didn't just interrupt my plans — it cracked me open. And what rushed in wasn't ambition. It was people. Now I know that the most important thing I've ever built wasn't a nonprofit or a career — it was the courage to let connection matter more than perfection.

The Choice
Choosing to preserve my fertility became another chapter in my journey. I underwent IVF three times, navigating the emotional and physical challenges of protecting a future I still believed was possible. That experience transformed the way I viewed healthcare, advocacy, and the importance of giving patients the education and support they need to make empowered decisions.
The Rebuild
After remission, I moved to Denver, married my best friend Liam, and began rebuilding a life with a renewed sense of purpose. I found myself drawn to the intersection of sports, technology, storytelling, and human connection — using my experiences to help others feel seen, inspired, and empowered.
The Purpose
Today, my mission is simple: to bring purpose and passion into everything I do. Whether through patient advocacy, speaking, building meaningful partnerships, or sharing stories that create impact, I believe our greatest challenges can become the foundation for our greatest contributions.
